Bill is a native of Nashville, Tennessee where he lives with his wife of 34 years, Lauryn. Bill is a long time member of First Baptist Church of Nashville. Away from work, he enjoys running, hiking and spending time with his three grown children and five grandchildren.

He graduated from Samford University with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1975 and an M.B.A. in 1979. He is a 1979 graduate of the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He was licensed to practice law in 1979. He began practicing law in Nashville that year with his father, the late W.A. Moody.

Bill is a trial lawyer whose practice is focused on representing injured people in medical malpractice and other types of personal injury cases.
